Quotes & Payments
- All accepted quotes must be settled immediately by means of cash, EFT or uncrossed cash cheque.
- If deemed necessary, a deposit of 50% will apply, prior to work commencing.
- Assessment costs are payable whether a quote is accepted or not.
- Work turnaround times (TAT) are per agreement, weather permitting.
- All quotes exclude resultant damages repairs and rubble removal unless otherwise stated.
- All quotes exclude unforeseen barriers/obstacles/challenges/multiple faults and shall be amended accordingly.
- All parts supplied shall remain the property of DPP until paid for in full.
- Should the owner of the property not be present on site, it is deemed that any other person on site, receiving the services of DPP, is the authorized representative of the owner.
Guarantees
- Please retain your job card safely to secure any applicable guarantees, without which, guarantees will become null & void and subsequently, no claim may be made.
- Provided, is a three (3) month guarantee on workmanship.
- Electrical parts do not carry a guarantee.
- On all parts supplied and fitted, only the applicable manufacturer/supplier guarantees are extended by the manufacturer/supplier itself by virtue of the proof of job card and is escalated, by the client to the manufacturer/supplier, to investigate.
- This excludes external factors of abuse, power surge/fluctuations, lightening damage; water pressure fluctuations, dirty water line, any Council related issue, any pre-existing condition of non-compliance of any construction and/or any other reason the manufacturer/supplier would invalidate the claim against the guarantee.
- DPP may be engaged to prove the fault.
- However, excluded are any call-out and labour costs in the due process of proving and extending, on behalf of the client, any such applicable manufacturer/supplier guarantee.
- Should the client require that services be restored whilst the guarantee is being processed, then the client will pay DPP for the part/s, call-out and labour to restore the service.
- Subsequently, the cost, for the part/s only, shall be refunded should the part/s be covered by any guarantee from the manufacturer/supplier.
- Drains - All drains are considered an unknown environment. Should drain cleaning equipment not surface during any attempt to clear a blockage, then liability for all costs for the excavation/removal/resultant damages, is for the client's account.
- Workmanship and/or part guarantees are not extended to any part of any reticulation of any discipline which is not visible and/or subject to wear & tear.
Site
- The client is responsible to provide safe and unhindered access for any reason work has to be done at the clients’ property; i.e. to the property/dwelling itself and/or to any component/s that has to be worked on.
- DPP will assist, as far as is reasonably possible, to provide the necessary access to working areas and/or component/s and to leave the site in its’ original condition, but shall not be held responsible should there be resultant damages to the property or persons as a result of this, in the present or future, either by virtue of the actual incident and/or by DPP serving the client.
- During the process of fault-finding and/or construction and/or reconstruction, DPP shall not be held responsible for any damages in the removing and/or re-fitting of any component/s to walls, light fittings, plug fittings, switches, DB covers, brown and white appliances, computers and electronic devices, wiring, thermal insulation, tiles, carpets, laminated flooring, windows, doors, roof tiles/ timber/metal, carpentry/cabinets, paving, tar, concrete, earth, plaster, paint, gate, fencing, swimming pools, fountains, boreholes, and jacuzzis and/or to any related enclosures.
- The client is responsible for the moving and protection of any furniture/fittings, appliances and items of a personal nature whilst DPP is performing work on site.
- Any part already opened and worked on by any other person shall be left the way it was found, unless escalated to the FSP or acknowledged as such by the client, that it was already worked on prior to DPP assisting; then DPP may be requested, within reason, to assist to restore to original position; DPP does not accept any liability in this process ... any applicable further cost-to-client may apply.
Performance of Work
- DPP technicians are not allowed to ask the client for assistance, nor is the client allowed to assist in the course of the tech executing his/her duty; the only exception being the use of water and/or power and/or light should the tech’s tools battery resources become exhausted.
- The tech must be allowed to simulate any fault type in order to satisfactorily prove a fault in order to subsequently offer a resolution.
- Fault-finding may result in revealing the most apparent faulty component which, upon being repaired/replaced, may lead to subsequent/multiple fault/s being revealed. As a result, it shall not be alleged that DPP is incompetent in the performance of DPP’s duty nor shall DPP be liable to absorb any further costs. The client shall be liable to pay all/any cost for labour and material.
- Any main source that may be turned off, i.e. water or power, is simply done to fault-find and/or execute repairs and/or isolate a fault.
- DPP shall not be held responsible should any other point become and/or reveal a fault upon the source being restored since, DPP is unaware of which point/s were originally working or not.
